SARASOTA, FL MINIMALLY INVASIVE DENTAL CARE

Minimally invasive dentistry is a concept that embraces performing the least amount of treatment to maintain dental health. This includes diet counseling, use of fluorides and sealants for prevention. lt also promotes the use of silver diamine fluoride and glass ionomer restoratives in pre- cooperative and young patients. In some instances where sedation has been recommended to complete treatment, minimally invasive procedures can accomplish the same outcome with minimalor no anesthesia.

SDF Treatment

Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is a non invasive treatment option for cavities, using a topical medicine that is painted on the tooth instead of more invasive surgical (drill and fill) approach.
